My oldest friend and I had a wonderful three-day stay at the resort. The casita was roomy and comfortable, every meal we had at the on-site Stables restaurant was delicious, and the spa was lovely. Assistant Manager Garrett Jarvis was such a delight, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. The whole property is beautifully kept, and it’s clear the resort works hard to give guests a high-quality experience. A special shout-out to Nadia Montes De Oca, the lovely manager and buyer for the phenomenal gift shop. It has an unusually elegant, eclectic and extensive range of beautiful and unusual gifts, high-quality foods, Brighton leather goods and jewelry, books, gorgeous quilled greeting cards that are works of art, and travel necessities like pocket mirrors, first aid items and toiletries. Nadia is warm, kind, accommodating and knowledgeable about the resort and Tubac. She goes out of her way to help. She’s a treasure and a fabulous ambassador for the resort and its ownership.

The Spanish-style atmosphere gave the place so much charm, and the views were gorgeous, especially with the cows and horses. We came for the otero pop up ranch and had the best stay. Our rooms were clean and spacious, and every interaction with staff was positive. The spa was amazing, including one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The owner was attentive to our needs, including those of my young girls. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We really liked being able to bring our dogs to this lovely place, and the suite was great, with a nice yard just outside the patio doors. Dining was a great experience too. Our server was outstanding and knew the area well. His name is slipping my mind, but I remember it started with A. We were close to the local artist area, though it was so off season that almost everything was closed and we couldn’t enjoy it.

We were here for a wedding, and the resort was gorgeous, quiet and beautiful. I loved the history, and all the food was excellent, from the welcome dinner to the wedding and brunch. The wedding buffet especially surprised me. Buffets usually aren’t the best, but this one was really good!

A great getaway with a real Southwest feel, quiet and a bit remote when you want to unwind, and reminiscent of Tesuque near Santa Fe and Sedona without feeling presumptuous. It’s close to wine tasting, hiking, golf, the artist colony and amazing restaurants. We rode the provided bikes through the art colony and highly recommend doing that. The town has limited dining options on New Year’s Day. They could use a pickleball court, and better online options for booking the spa.
