The Atlantic Hotel

We left immediately and booked another hotel because we didn’t feel comfortable staying there. The toilet in our room was broken, and the neighboring room looked uncleaned and unprepared, with a queen bed, a disorganized pile of sheets, and a crumpled brown bag on top. There was only one other car in the lot when we arrived, and by the time I went downstairs to report the toilet, the front desk attendant had left and that car was gone too. The whole property felt unsettling and unprofessional. We’d booked in December for a weekend in the Hamptons and arrived around 4:00 PM, as expected, after the attendant had called us twice. At check-in she seemed rushed and inattentive. The following day we came back to return the key and explain what happened. She was understanding, took our information, and said a manager would contact us. I tried calling several times after we left, but nobody answered. Three weeks have passed without a follow-up, and we still haven’t received a refund. Poorly managed and deeply disappointing. We won’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it.

I’ve had some of my best stays here lately. The location and surroundings are great, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Management is absolutely wonderful, concerned about what you need and helpful around the clock. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

At $240 a night, I expected a higher standard than what was advertised on Expedia. The bathroom was leaking, the floor didn’t seem properly cleaned, and the room felt uncomfortably humid. I stayed just one night before making other arrangements. The experience didn’t feel worth the price.

The front desk was very sweet, and the pool was clean. The place also has golf courses all around it, but location seems to be all it offers. The rooms felt extremely abandoned, old, and disgusting, and the beds were so uncomfortable that I slept on the soft one because it felt better. It’s pretty much a glorified motel. We paid $700 a night for the mid-August rate, then the next night it was $280. Definitely family owned, but the rooms were rough.
