We checked out early because of the service and neglect. The front desk and breakfast staff were rude and unwelcoming, didn’t smile, and let the breakfast items run low. The food was cold, choices were sparse, drinks were limited, and the juice machine was tucked beside an overflowing trash can. You also had to ask for French toast instead of finding it ready. There was visible damage in several parts of the rooms, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Reading the owner’s replies to bad reviews, he always seems appreciative and says he’s working to improve. I suspect some of the positive reviews are from staff or people who enjoyed the free drinks.

The location suited me, and the property was clean, though a bit dated. Having to deal with the PCM QR code parking system was a real nuisance. It feels like hotels are nickel-and-diming guests through this parking company. I paid $3,800 for nine days, wasn’t that enough?

The mountain view and the atmosphere by the pool were lovely, and after a rough day at work, having a drink there felt just right. The Happy Hour staff made the stay for me. I met JaZmine, a bartender, on a hectic day and watched her keep smiling and handle the pressure. I went back the next day, and she had the same energy and managed everything smoothly again. It felt a bit like a therapy session over a drink, and I left feeling much better. As a first-time visitor, I really enjoyed the place. There are a few small things they could improve, but this location comes close to my idea of perfect. Management, please show JaZmine lots of appreciation for her hard work, focus, and compassion toward customers. She’s a 10 out of 10. I’d highly recommend the hotel and would come back for the Happy Hour vibe and great setting.

The staff were wonderful, but the design of this hotel made the stay unpleasant at nearly every turn. The room had a master switch that had to be flipped before any other lights worked, and the bathroom switch was across the bathroom from the bedroom. The bedroom fan used a remote glued to the wall. To turn on the shower, you had to step inside first and get sprayed with cold water. The bathroom door and closet door couldn’t be open at the same time, and the bedside table was just a wooden box with no useful storage. Getting to the room was odd too: the narrow hall had luggage carts blocking one side, like a service entrance, and there were no signs off the elevator to say which way the rooms were. Parking was run by a third party that left something like a ticket on your car to register. On checkout day, they sent several emails around midnight warning that the time was expiring. Who designed all this, and had they ever stayed in a hotel? If comfort means reducing stress, this place missed at almost every step.

We booked two rooms for a family stay in December, and one faced the inner courtyard. Its bedroom air conditioner was so loud that sleeping was difficult. I’d also asked for a baby cot, but was told none were available, which surprised me given the hotel’s family-friendly image. I left my expensive glasses in the room by accident. I contacted housekeeping at least five times, then tried reception and the sales team, but nobody ever got back to me. Breakfast was very poor as well. I don’t understand the high ratings, because our stay didn’t feel like a four-star experience.
