The biggest headache is parking. A reserved space with an assigned tag costs almost $180 extra, but lots of cars without tags take spots and nobody seems to care. We arrived with two cars and weren't told we only got one spot because no one was in the leasing office. The next day we asked for another and were told there was a wait list. You need a fob to get through the locked chain wall, but apparently anyone with a room fob can take a space. The lot has several cars without tags. Nearby meters are always full, and the alternatives are a monthly garage pass that costs more than a lot space or a public lot a block away. Handicap spaces are almost always occupied by cars without proper tags or plates, and there's a car in the loading area for handicap access every day too. The location near Armory park means loud weekends and homeless people around. The rooms are nice, but the solid gray concrete makes sleeping feel like being in a prison cell. We've had to stay here while our house was being redone, and as a family with a wife and son, we got no help, from parking information to finding out when we could move in. The front desk staff don't make you feel welcome. Once, the leasing office was open because some random people, one described as a former employee, and five other guys were pregaming for a UofA Game. The man had at least three drinks when we spoke, but he was helpful. Too bad he wasn't actually an employee. Another time, the fire alarm went off. I rushed outside with my six-month-old son, while other tenants just stood in the hall. A staff member looked at me from his desk, waved me off because he was busy, and went back to his phone call. When he finally hung up, I told him the alarms were going off. He said they were testing them and that I should have gotten an email. I hadn't. He blamed whoever set us up there for dropping the ball, instead of asking for my email or apologizing. I wouldn't have rushed out if I'd been notified. I don't want to be all negative. If you really want to live downtown, enjoy a wonderful view of the TEP building, and pay twice our current mortgage, this place may suit you if you're single, have no kids, one car or no car, and like walking everywhere. If you're not in college, you probably wouldn't be reading this review. I'm an old man with no other options. My insurance company chose this place for me. If you've read this far, you've probably already decided to stay or you work here. My opinion is temporary, and I'm not the target tenant. Still, staff need to be more aware when a father with a young baby comes looking for answers and gets told someone else dropped the ball.
