The gray water from the sink was disgusting, and there wasn't even a lobby sign telling us not to use it. We spent the rest of our stay brushing our teeth with bottled water. For $500 for three nights, we expected a lot better. The hotel itself needs a complete rebuild: the hallways and paint look old, the dining area is small, and there's no restaurant for guests who don't want to go out. The surrounding streets are cracked and full of potholes, and there were homeless people around the hotel. This isn't the impression a city or business should want first-time visitors to have. I considered asking for a refund and moving elsewhere, and honestly, we should have. Next time I'm in Arizona, I won't stay near Tucson airport. The hotel manager should rebuild the place, fix the gray water issue, and contact Pima county elected officials about using tax dollars to repair Tucson Arizona's streets.

The staff were the best part, especially Mandy and Jose. They were kind and seemed genuinely sincere when helping with questions. We learned about the water problems only after checking in, but everything was clean, and it was quiet enough that we couldn't hear planes. Being right by the airport also made getting ready for our flight easier.

I had an early flight, and the airport is only a minute away. I wish I'd known they had a shuttle, so I'll use it next time I'm in Tucson. The room was updated and clean, with a pleasant shower and an extremely comfortable bed. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend staying at this Holiday Inn Express.

Being able to leave my bike travel box at the hotel while I was away made this trip much easier. I'm a bikepacker, and the staff generously looked after it. When I got back, the box hadn't been touched and my valuables were still inside. That's a huge risk to take, but this staff earned my trust. The rooms could use a thermostat setting that keeps the fan running, since the AC cycling on and off woke me through the night. And if you sleep past 8 a.m., jet engines taking off will probably wake you. Thanks for accommodating me. I'll recommend the hotel to friends.

Just down the road from Tucson International Airport, this Holiday Inn Express also runs a shuttle there. The hotel has been renovated inside and out, and it made for a very good visit. The rooms are spacious, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there's pretty much what you'd need for either a short or longer stay in the Tucson area. It's economical too, so it's a good fit if you're flying in and want room to spread out.
