Home2 Suites BY Hilton Tucson Downtown

The front desk handled it well when I asked for another room after finding a bad bathroom smell, a dried blood stain on the couch, and stains on the countertops and kitchen sink. They apologized when I showed them pictures, and the replacement room was much cleaner. That made me think the first room hadn't been cleaned properly. They said they'd tell the manager and give me points, but no extra points came through and nobody followed up. I've stayed here eight times since May 2025, usually one or two nights a month, and liked the location near the highway, convenient parking garage, spacious rooms, lovely views, and nice staff. But the small problems have added up. On an earlier stay, the internet failed while I was working late, so I had to use my phone hotspot. Before an early flight I found no shampoo or conditioner at 4 a.m.; on a later stay I checked the bottles and found the body wash completely empty. Reception gladly gave me a small bottle when I mentioned that one. This week's room was enough to make me take my business to another Hilton, specifically The Graduate. I'm not going to raise this concern for a third time, or call or submit something on the website just to get a boilerplate apology.

The location is convenient, and both the rooms and pool are nice. Just be aware of the $18 nightly parking fee, even if you don't use the lot. Housekeeping doesn't come automatically either, so you have to request cleaning after about four days.

The customer service was very good, and the breakfast was tasty with plenty of choices. I only stayed one night but enjoyed it. There's a gated parking garage and what I believe are metal boxes for locking up bikes.

I went along with a school group as a chaperone. The rooms weren't ready when promised, and two groups had to wait until late in the evening. Another woman's room wasn't ready either. They didn't seem in much of a hurry to finish getting them ready. The room itself was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was just okay: the omelettes were good, but the sausage was rubbery and the food selection was poor.
