OYO Hotel Tucson Downtown

The night desk clerk’s response was the worst part of an already awful stay. I calmly asked to move rooms after finding blood, animal and human hair on the sheets, crumbs and more hair under the pillow, dirty floors, and a bathroom door with no handle, just a hole and built-up grime. He got angry, said he didn’t believe me because they clean every day, and kicked us out. He returned our deposit, but this was the worst hotel experience of my life. Please stay somewhere else. The price isn’t worth it.

The room was in terrible shape: torn-up floors, no bathroom counter, and bugs jumping off the table onto my bags. I was still brushing them off while on the bed. I’d already had ants crawling on me during check-in, where the receptionist was rude. I lasted five minutes. My booking through a travel agency was nonrefundable, but I got my deposit back and left. The photos look cute, but inside it’s torn up. Find somewhere better, anywhere. I’m only giving it a star so I can post this.

We had a great time. The room was comfortable, and the beds were soft, though it was odd that there were no controls for the air unit. The lobby looked beautiful, the staff were really friendly, and the buffet breakfast was delicious.

We left right away after hearing people in the next room say they’d found bedbugs. Management was rude, and because we were leaving they kept our deposit. The manager yelled at me and told me to shut up. I’ve never been treated that way by anyone in customer service. I can’t believe booking sites list this motel; if they saw it, I’m sure they wouldn’t promote it. This is the worst motel I’ve come across. I’d give it no stars or negative ones if I could. Stay away.
