JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa

The hiking trails right behind the property made it easy to get out and walk, and I took full advantage. Service was top-notch as well. I asked how long employees had worked there, and the shortest time anyone mentioned was three years; one person had been there twenty. Enjoy!

The rooms were spacious, clean, and very nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Once settled, I appreciated how quiet and calm it was out there. Arriving for the first time at night was a little overwhelming since the place is remote and not well lit. I parked in the garage, so be ready for a fairly long walk to your room. Valet is available if you prefer. There were lots of amenities, though I didn’t get to try them this time. Maybe next visit.

Joe, Renee, and Adalberto turned a difficult start to my stay at the Marriott into a memorable one. They were attentive, solved problems, and showed real care about making things right. Every interaction felt like service above what I expected. Their professionalism and dedication deserve credit, and I’d gladly return.

The staff made this stay especially fun. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the pool and lazy river, the Starbucks team, and both servers at the Signature Grill. The food there was great too. We arrived a day before our reservation, and the front desk gladly added a night. Another employee even tried to help with Marriott points that had expired five days earlier. Our room was beautiful, with lovely desert views and javelinas outside. We loved the lazy river and fruit-infused water, and the Halloween decorations were a fun extra, especially the skeleton riding an inner tube. It was our first visit to this JW Marriott, but we’ll be back. The natural setting, comfortable rooms, and charm made it a wonderful stay.
