The key card wouldn’t open the outside doors, and later our room key stopped working too. We were told it would take maintenance, but no one was called. After waiting outside our room for 30 minutes, he had to change the battery right then, which meant we couldn’t use the room for another 30 minutes. Breakfast was very basic. When we asked for a later checkout, the front desk worker was rude and kept blaming us. Then they told me and my handicapped wife to leave in 10 minutes or be trespassed. Manager Jolene has zero people skills and should find a new job. When I asked for her boss’s phone number, she said she was calling the police. Tucson police are so busy we’d have been two states down the road before they showed up. Don’t stay in this dump unless you like being told you’re wrong for the motel’s screwups. Update: Management was our issue, so I then talked to corporate. They decided to believe everything the manager said to save face. Needless to say, she was the problem and was lying outright, and corporate won’t do anything to make this right for us. The motel manager said they had video of me causing the problem and screaming at her. Now I want to see that video, and I believe corporate should view it too. How do I see the video?

There was nothing set out for breakfast in the morning, and the cereal was empty too. After we got into our room, the beds weren’t made or anything. The front desk apologized and gave us a different room. When we arrived, I was told to park in the center of the building and use that door, but it didn’t work. The listing showed a 4.0 rating, but this is definitely a 1.0 resort.

The worst part was breakfast. It was advertised as continental, but all there was to eat was cereal, either Fruit Loops or Raisin Bran, and granola bars. No fruit, pastries, yogurt, nothing. It was the worst “continental breakfast” I’ve seen at a hotel, so don’t stay here if you expect a normal one. The place is also kind of run down, with scuff marks on the furniture and corners, a frayed carpet seam in the bedroom, and stains on the bathroom floor. Beware, most of the positive reviews seem to be by “local guide,” which I don’t believe are real customers.

Breakfast is no-cook, so expect coffee, tea, juice, and a breakfast bar, no sausage or eggs. The service and location were good. The hotel is a little run down, with quite a few burn holes and marks, but it was clean, there were no bugs, and everything worked.
