TownePlace Suites by Marriott Tucson Airport

The complimentary breakfast wasn't very good, unfortunately. The front desk staff were friendly, and having a full-size fridge and microwave in the room was convenient. The hotel is older, but it stayed quiet throughout my five days, which made it comfortable.

For an extended stay near the airport, this would be my pick in Tucson. The free breakfast and laundry machines were welcome extras, especially since the Courtyard Marriott doesn't have the washers. I noticed other extended-stay items like crockpots too, though I didn't use them. Service was the best part. Meagan helped sort out a booking mistake with the booking agent and was helpful when I arrived. Mary also assisted me and gave me some flexibility at checkout. If you need to be by the airport or NAFRI, this is the best of the Marriotts.

I've stayed 40-plus nights a year with Marriott and have never had this happen. I left for the day with the do not disturb hanger on my door. When I got back, my dirty clothes were on the bed, my shoes had been moved out of the closet and tossed in the bathroom, and the curtains were open. I called the front desk and was told, “that's not supposed to happen.” I know. Having my privacy and personal things handled that way is completely unacceptable. I'll be switching hotel brands right away if this is what my business means to them.

My father-in-law stayed here after checking out of another Marriott over on Grant, and he loved this place. His only snag was getting the internet and Roku to work. We figured it came down to his old iPhone and user error, and I got it running myself. My two daughters and I also enjoyed the pool. We had it entirely to ourselves.
