Travelodge by Wyndham Tucson AZ

A warning for anyone considering a stay or using their membership: in my experience, this is not a decent place, even at a bargain motel price. I found the upholstery unsanitary and believe the property currently has a bed bug problem. I also saw a staff member's pistol left unconcealed and carelessly on the back counter at the receptionist desk near the doorway. When I tried to complain, I felt the staff took no responsibility after the first 15 minutes of my arrival. I was met with impatience and some hostility, and was threatened with trespassing. The General Manager also manages the Best Western and Red Roof Inn behind the property. I don't know if that's a conflict of interest, but the subtle differences are noticeable when you enter. Pay attention to the air quality. Stay well and travel safely.

Lexi made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. She was friendly, professional, and took care of all my needs. The hotel was clean and customer-friendly too, which made the start of my stay a positive one. Great customer service from Lexi.

The rooms were clean, but the bed in mine was very hard. The smoking rules felt extreme: I would never smoke in a nonsmoking room, but being told I couldn't smoke in my own vehicle, on the balcony, or anywhere within 25 feet of the building seemed crazy. They clearly don't know what 25 feet is. I've traveled all over the country and haven't seen signs like theirs out front. The brunette Karen at the front desk seemed like she might have helped make those signs.

The room was okay, but booking a second night meant they charged me another deposit. That left them holding $200 of my money, and it takes days to get it back. I'd recommend paying in cash.
