Element by Marriott Seattle Sea-Tac Airport

I've stayed at the Element for weeks at a time over the past two years. What keeps me coming back is the staff, the cleanliness, the comfortable room layout, and how close everything is. Kris at the front desk deserves a special mention for her attention to all the tenants. She always says hello and makes herself available when we need something. Thanks to Kris and the whole staff for making my time at the Element Sea-Tac such a pleasure.

This is my second stay at Element, and I'll keep coming back because of Kris. Her warmth at check-in made me feel welcomed and cared for. She may not have known how much I needed that kindness on Saturday, but it made a real difference to my day. I'm grateful for the positive impact she had on me.

Everything looked new and clean, and the breakfast was very nice. But I found a used wet hand towel hanging on the shower railing, which the cleaning crew probably missed. Parking also costs $22. The walls and floors must be thin because I could hear people upstairs walking, noise from the hallway, and conversations in the neighboring rooms. Someone kept laughing until 1 am, and it drove me nuts.

I stayed for three weeks and was surprised by how friendly the staff were, how nice the gym and pool were, and how spacious the lobby felt. Bikes were hanging there to ride to the nearby mall. The firepit outside is nice on drier nights, so enjoy it if you can. Breakfast is a step above, and Kellie juggles bartender, cook, and hostess duties in the evenings. The rooms have those nice extra touches you appreciate, and the one bedroom setup is quite nice. The hotel fills with business travelers during the week and often youth sports teams on weekends, so call ahead to avoid the weekend chaos. My only complaint is parking: $25 is pretty excessive for a hotel outside downtown. You don't get anything for that fee, and the card reader is hard to reach from an SUV and sometimes doesn't work.
