Village Inn

It was a good overnight stay, with spacious, clean rooms that have been recently upgraded. The price is GREAT, and it’s easy to get on and off the 101. Pismo Beach is an 8 minute drive away. A nice alternative to the Motel 6 we’ve been staying at.

It does the job for the minimum price, but the place needs a serious refit. There aren’t any coffee machines, or coffee at all.

I found three roaches in the room after spending one night there, and killed them. I told the girl at the front desk I wanted another room or I’d leave, but she said none were available. She offered a refund for the rest of my stay. Since no other hotels had vacancies that night, I was pretty much forced to spend one more night in a roach infested room. I was charged for just one night because they marked me as a no show. Nobody apologized for the roaches or offered to make things right beyond refunding my money. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but I don’t know whether anything came of it. I was on vacation visiting a friend, and after booking another hotel in a nearby city, I didn’t return to Village Inn.

Check-in took forever because of the lady at the front desk. The room looked nice and had a mini fridge, a tv, and some other nice furniture. But the shower wasn’t clean, with hairs everywhere, and the sheets had stains in places. I didn’t notice the night before, but when I woke up there were cockroaches on the sheet. Bugs on my bed are disgusting to me. There was also a group of men drinking and smoking outside the room. Next time I think I’ll pay a little more for another hotel.
