The staff were great, but the rooms I had were in really rough shape. One had a TV that didn’t work, which is why I was moved, and there were broken drawer handles, a lamp that kept shorting out, mold on the ceilings in both bathrooms, and a door missing its weather stripping. The previous owner had let the place go badly. Motel 6 bought it from Executive Inns and is renovating the rooms now, so I might return once that work is finished. For now, I’ll spend extra to stay in Amarillo. I would have canceled if I’d known what condition the rooms were in, but there was an $84 cancellation fee with no exceptions after booking. That’s not good business.

The location worked well for what we needed, and the room was clean. The people were very nice too.

We drove out of our way after I called to ask for a room with two beds. The woman on the phone assured me one was available, but when we arrived, she said all her rooms had just one bed. I understand if that’s all they have, but I should have been told before making the trip.

It was really quiet, and my husband and I had a pleasant week here. The room was a little dated, but spacious and had the basics: a fridge, microwave, dresser, TV, and nightstands. The heater kept us warm at night when the temperature dropped. Housekeeping called every day to check whether we needed anything, and both the housekeeper and the woman at the front desk were super nice. It’s right off the interstate, with a convenience store next door, which was a nice bonus. I definitely enjoyed the stay and would recommend giving the place a try if you need somewhere to refresh.
