Park Lane Motel

We got a nice view of the water, and the room was clean with comfortable beds. The staff were great about letting us check in early. But Saturday night there was a party that went on late. Quiet hours weren’t enforced, and one of the guests had to ask the group to turn the music off at 11:30 pm. They were still up until at least 3 am. On Sunday the pool was unavailable because its heater was broken, even though we’d used it the night before. We also couldn’t use the grills because all the propane tanks had been removed. The person at the counter had to text someone to ask about it, and after waiting 30 minutes with no answer, we gave up. We’d bought groceries and planned dinner around the grill, so we had to change plans. We couldn’t use the advertised amenities we’d come for, and the stay wasn’t a good experience. We won’t stay here again.

One of our three rooms had such a bad smell that we couldn’t use it. Luckily, we found another room at a nearby motel, since this place had nothing else available. Then our car was hit in the parking lot overnight, and nobody took responsibility. The owner agreed to check the security cameras, but then stopped responding and never called us back. This wasn’t a good experience for our family vacation, and we’d never stay here again.

There was a loud party by the pool that carried on from Saturday night into Sunday morning. At 11:30 pm I asked them to turn off the music. One person said he knew the owner and “didn’t give a shit what we thought.” If the owner lets this kind of thing happen, who knows what else they allow. Don’t go. The Georgian, two spots over, is much nicer and quieter.

The private beach on the lake was a highlight, with lovely views and a peaceful, cozy feel. We read by the water and used the kayaks and paddle boards, spending a good part of the day out on the lake. Afterward, a hot shower with strong pressure was just what we needed. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. I slept better than I had in weeks, like I was wrapped in a cloud. From check in on, everyone was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Park Lane Motel made us feel welcome the whole time, and we’ll absolutely be back.
