The Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Lake George, a charming New England-style motel, is centrally located on the main strip of Lake George Village, New York, just off I-87 at Exit 22. Across the street from the lake and a public beach, the hotel offers convenient access to various attractions, restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Accommodation options include deluxe two-story family townhouses with fully equipped kitchens, available with three or four bedrooms, accommodating up to 12 people (four-night minimum stay). Efficiency suites with one or two bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens, as well as two-bedroom master suites with jetted tubs and fireplaces, and traditional guest rooms are also available. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs with cable and HBO, hairdryers, and wake-up service. Mini-fridges and irons are available (charges may apply). Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Guests can enjoy the heated indoor-outdoor pool, children's playground, and shaded picnic area. Fax and copy services are available (charges may apply). Please note the hotel is open seasonally from April 20th through October 15th, and has limited front desk hours (check-in from 3 PM to 11 PM). Pets are not permitted, but boarding kennels are nearby.

The playground was a nice perk for the kids, and the location made it easy to walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Everything looked old, but the room did seem clean. Still, the value felt very average. We chose a one-bedroom suite so the kids could sleep separately and were assured two pack-and-plays would fit. The bedroom door had slats, so it didn’t block noise, and we had to move furniture around to fit the second pack-and-play while keeping access to the bathroom. The room needs remodeling, the beds should be replaced because you can feel the springs, and the picnic tables need attention before they fall apart.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and had a great time. The staff are really nice, the rooms were clean and smelled fresh, and the property is very well kept. There’s plenty to do, including ping pong, basketball, volleyball, indoor and outdoor pools, and a fire pit. We’ll come back. You can hear guests upstairs through the ceiling, so if noise bothers you, ask for an upstairs room.

The manager got in touch after my bad review and offered to arrange a downstairs room and provide a microwave. She took care of the concerns I’d raised, and I really appreciated that. I’d asked the clerk for a ground-floor room because I have medical issues and my husband’s back had been hurting, and I’d also mentioned there was no microwave in the room.

The staff made the stay for us. They went out of their way to help, and the whole process from check-in through check-out was seamless. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the price felt reasonable for the quality. It’s in a great spot, near everything but still quiet and peaceful. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels around here over the years, and this is easily my favorite. I’ll be back every year.
