Marine Village Resort

Rooms 53 and 54 worked really well for me. They're adjoining but stand-alone units, almost like your own two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. I came in September, around mid-month, to mark 10 years off heroin, and the clean, huge beach and friendly staff made the stay feel special. The firepits were lovely at night, too. I usually don't get room service and just keep things tidy myself, but the employees brought me a bag of toilet paper and fresh towels. So sweet, and something I hadn't seen before in LG. SANDY was wonderful from start to finish. I booked with her, requested my rooms, paid over the phone weeks later, and checked in and out with her. She was incredible. I come to lake george 4-6 times a year and somehow had never stayed at Marine Village Resort before. I usually go to Surfside annually for the suites, but their service has gone downhill, so I'll likely avoid it and come back here. I may try the lakefront suites next time. This is the closest lakefront resort to the village, though you do have to climb a short, steep hill. It was all worth it! I CANNOT believe I forgot to write this review!!

The room was clean and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and bar soap, but the mattress and pillows could've been more comfortable. I booked for four adults and there were only three towels. Beach and pool towels should be available without an extra fee. The location was excellent, and service was friendly and easy to reach.

The beach and views were wonderful, and catching both sunrise and sunset was beautiful. Make a point of getting up for sunrise! We also loved seeing the mama and baby ducklings and spending time at the beach, pool, and outdoor games. The whole staff was kind and helpful. There was a kids' activity one day, and my six-year-old had a great time. The ladies running it were so nice and good with all the kids. We're a family of five, and the standard room with two beds fit all of us, plus our luggage and toys. Such a great place for families. We had an amazing time and are so happy we chose to stay here. Thank you!

The Thursday fireworks came with s'mores, and there was Italian night with delicious food and an arts and crafts session. The beach is beautiful, and the pool deck is great. We also found plenty of clean grills, which looked new, and a community room with some laundry and exercise equipment. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are very clean and updated, and the staff are so friendly. We've been going to Lake George for years, but this was our first stay at Marine Village. We wanted beach access for our grandson and were very glad we chose it. It's right in the heart of Lake George, and we'll absolutely be back.
