Super 8 by Wyndham New Castle

The staff made me feel welcome and safe while I was traveling in a new country. They were humble, polite, and ready to help with a smile. It’s a modest hotel, but the service was better than I expected and it felt like good value. My room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, just what I needed to rest after a long day of exploring. I really enjoyed my stay.

I paid $350 for three nights at this run-down place, and wish someone had warned me first. There’s a huge pothole on the way in that could swallow your vehicle. Inside, it smells like a dusty old hourly room, and the property needs updating badly. Each time I’ve been there, a dark-haired, dark-eyed woman has seemed aggressive. They also cleaned our room before checkout, even though I had private, confidential items in there. I’d look on Priceline instead, where you can get a room with a pool or jacuzzi for much better value. Zero stars.

For a one-night stay, this went well. Check-in was easy thanks to the friendly front desk, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. Everything worked fine.

This was my first stay here, and it’ll be my last. Photos say more. Spending more at another hotel doesn’t guarantee quality either, because money and greed seem to drive how some places are run. At cheaper hotels, things often get neglected for the same reason. What people will do for money is crazy. 😮 I’ve stayed at several hotels in New Jersey and haven’t been impressed. Some hosts actually told me to leave and check out just because I raised concerns about things in the room that needed attention. Despicable. 😱 Some people know what good customer service means and still don’t care, whether from selfishness, greed, or something else.
