Best Western Airport

In reply to the hotel's response, Susan verbally attacked me and then canceled my reservation. I didn't refuse to comply, and my card was charged. I've read dozens of reviews describing the same experience with Susan at the front desk. It isn't all of us. It's you. I booked online but never stayed. Susan was unbelievably rude and wanted to charge me $25 per day plus a $150 damage deposit for my dog. She refused to put anything about the deposit in writing, screamed at me, and canceled my entire stay when I objected.

The rate was much lower than the Best Western where I’d stayed a week earlier, even though it was only about 10 minutes away and the brand was the same. You get what you pay for, I guess. The room was okay, but nothing special, and getting to it meant walking along a breezeway and through a courtyard. I prefer to keep an eye on my car, especially somewhere unfamiliar, and people were hanging around in their cars in the lot. It felt a little uneasy, though manageable.

There were roaches in the room, and the way staff dealt with us afterward made the stay even worse. I’d overslept because I set an alarm but forgot to turn up the volume, and since my fiancé had booked the room, they contacted him and said we had to leave. That was fine. I got up right away while he packed the rest of our things, but about five minutes later someone from the front office came pounding on the door like the police. When I answered, he yelled at me instead of speaking calmly. I only wanted to explain that we were already gathering our belongings and would take everything outside. I was even going to leave the door open so they could see we were cooperating. I won’t stay here again, and I hope nobody else gets treated with that kind of disrespect.

The staff were attentive and friendly, which was the good part. The property is in a run-down area, right beside a run-down apartment building, and homeless people sometimes walked through the parking lot. Around 10:30 pm, while we were trying to sleep, a boom truck was running either in the motel lot or next door. Since room doors open directly outside, it really is a motel. For the $320+ we paid for one night, we expected a much nicer place. We won’t be back.
