This place felt like a huge waste of money. For the price, I could get a much nicer room in a safer area. The hotel is old and dirty, and the rooms and whole building smell awful. The linens were nasty and rock hard, and the internet wouldn’t stay connected long enough for me to send an email. I’d rather sleep on a mattress behind Goodwill.

The elevator only worked when it felt like it, and the vending machines were poorly stocked with overpriced items. Morning coffee wasn’t kept hot or fresh, and people I took to mean panhandlers were allowed to hang around bothering guests. The room had a mini fridge and microwave in the bathroom. There were no bathroom amenities or bedspreads, and staff said bedspreads weren’t available. The heater turned on but didn’t warm the room, and there were no knobs to adjust it. The bath towels were stained as if someone had washed greasy mechanic rags without bleach, though the floor was clean. Management also tried to keep guests from having visitors, or charged $10 per visitor.

I stayed three nights and paid almost $100 a night, which was far too much for this place. The linen was dirty, the towels filthy, and there were roaches. I also left with red, itchy bumps all over my body. On top of that, they require a $20 deposit and charge $10 for someone to visit, even for just a few minutes. Don’t stay here unless you’re okay with the filth.

The receptionist was nice, and I thought the room was clean, pleasant, and comfortable. But noisy neighbors kept yelling and running up and down the hall while I was trying to sleep, which was a nightmare. There was no housekeeping and no refrigerator. It was an okay stay.

I’d give this hotel zero stars. There were bed bugs and roaches, exposed electrical wires held with duct tape, and no smoke detectors in the rooms. These are serious fire hazards throughout the place, and there were no maids to clean the rooms. They also charge $10 for anyone coming up to your room, even if the person isn’t staying there, and threaten to have your guest arrested if you don’t pay. It’s a total rip-off and should be shut down for everyone’s safety.
