Guam Reef Hotel

We stayed for six days and loved how relaxing it was. Restaurants, beaches, and nightlife were all easy to get to. I especially liked seeing the different fish and corals that survived the typhoon. The staff were very helpful, and thanks so much to the lady who cleaned our room every day and made it comfortable for us.

The rooms are pretty average, but the views are spectacular enough to make up for that. This is a terrific old-school Guam hotel, with a great pool, a handy free water dispenser, an adequate gym, and free laundry if you bring a detergent pod. The location is terrific too.

The room was spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. I also appreciated being able to refill water for free and use the washer and dryer on the first floor. A $1 detergent pack from the Bon Voyage store on that same floor made laundry easy. Staff were friendly and easy to talk to, which added to the pleasant stay. It was my first time at Guam Reef Hotel. The building shows some age and wear since opening in 1974, but nothing major bothered me. We didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast buffet.

Marites Blackstar deserves a special thank you for her professionalism, kindness, and genuine island hospitality. She made us feel at home, and the front desk and management team were flexible and caring throughout our stay. The ocean views were stunning, the rooms were clean, and the location right in the heart of Tumon couldn’t be better. We’ve stayed at several hotels on the island, each with its own pros and cons, but Guam Reef views stands out. Be flexible, stay open, and enjoy Tumon Bay!
