Oceanview Hotel & Residences

The Bayview Hotel was a great experience for me, my family, and my dog. The room looked beautiful, and the staff were polite and professional. Check-in and checkout were incredibly quick and easy, and housekeeping deserves a big thank-you too. We’re looking forward to staying again.

The staff were such a bright spot, really friendly and helpful. But the building had a strong old, possibly moldy smell, and both the room and common areas needed better cleaning. We also had no hot water during our stay. The service was great, though the hotel needs more attention to upkeep and maintenance.

The balcony sunsets were beautiful, and the location puts restaurants, bars, an ABC Store, and Tagada Amusement Park just a short walk away. The room itself was uncomfortable, though. The AC barely cooled it, even at the lowest setting, and it never got below 83°. There was a dehumidifier that had to be emptied several times each day, and the buildup inside was pretty gross. Cleanliness was also poor. I killed two roaches on the first day, then saw another crawl out from under the bed while I was watching TV. With those comfort and cleanliness problems, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Ms. Gabby at the front desk welcomed me and knew her way around my reservation, answering all my questions at check-in. I had booked a Deluxe 2 Queens, and the room was nicely air-conditioned, with comfortable beds, blankets, and towels. There’s a mini-mart in the lobby, and an ABC store, restaurants, and an amusement park are within walking distance a little farther down the hill. The hotel isn’t oceanfront, but you can see the bay in the distance. Good value, and I’d be happy to stay again. ☺️
