Super 8 by Wyndham Tupelo Airport

The front desk staff were very nice, but the room was filthy and breakfast was almost nonexistent. They had cold cereal with no milk. I was the first person there that morning, and the orange juice dispenser had cloudy orange-brown sludge in its overflow drain. Who knows how long it had been since anyone cleaned it.

I stayed for a week during the ice storm and was surprised by how nice and clean the rooms were for such a low price. The staff was all right, though nothing exceptional.

I woke around 3 AM to find bugs crawling on the walls once the room had finally warmed up. I killed about half a dozen and couldn't get much more sleep. This was after arriving to a room at 59 degrees, turning on the heat, and going out to eat and fill up the car for the next day's drive. I'd read online reviews calling it clean, but that wasn't my experience. The coffee maker leaked water straight out the bottom, and the shower pressure was so weak that even I, almost 80, have more pressure. I saved a couple of dead bugs and showed them to the man at the desk. He smiled and asked what they were, and I told him they were his bugs. This will be my last stay anywhere with the Wyndham name.

This worked perfectly for my business trip. The hotel was clean and quiet, close to the highway and the city's main roads, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'll stay here again when I'm back in Tupelo.
