Roaches were running around the bathroom, under the bed, and across the bedside stand. The room itself was filthy, with trash still in the cans, old soap in the tub, and a toilet that clearly hadn't been cleaned. There was a cigarette burn in the comforter and a stain on the sheet. Worst room I've ever been in.

The location is good, and the man at the desk did his job, but the rooms were awful for a price similar to other hotels nearby. The door locks were broken, the tub hadn't been cleaned, and a roach crawled under a dirty fridge. There was no chair, phone, closet space, coffee maker, or breakfast. Red Roof is an upgrade from here.

The only bright spots were the quiet and the very nice man at the desk. We paid for a suite but ended up in a regular room, with nowhere for our clothes except our suitcases. The phone didn't work, there was a dirty washcloth in the tub, and the floors were dirty. My husband and I tried to make the best of it, but we were very unhappy.

The owners were rude, and the hotel was nasty. It wasn't clean at all, and there were roaches.

I paid online for two nights, then paid online to extend the stay for a third. When I went to the front desk to get my key reprogrammed, I was told to pay a $25 cash fee or check out at 11 and check back in at 3. The BBB has the same complaint on file, and I'm filing one with Tupelo CVB and the city. This business is taking advantage of low-income, disabled, and otherwise disadvantaged customers. I wouldn't do business here.
