Hilton Garden Inn Tuscaloosa

The two women working the evening shift were wonderful too, and the staff made my overnight stop feel comfortable. I was traveling from Maryland to Mississippi and checked in on January 4th. The next morning, Ondre explained Gold member perks I hadn’t known about. His customer service, knowledge, and compassion really stood out. Thank you, Ondre.

The hotel felt cozy and festive with its Christmas decorations, and the holiday treats were a thoughtful touch. During the night shift, the housekeeper was especially attentive and kind. The woman at the night desk was calm and friendly, helped us find our way around, and suggested places to visit around town. Ondre at the service desk had already made us feel welcome when we arrived, with his warmth and professionalism. The staff’s care made the stay comfortable and memorable. A lovely experience.

Every employee we came across was cheerful and greeted us with a smile. You could tell they love their work, and that kindness meant a lot after a very hard stretch. We’d been stranded when our truck broke down on the interstate, about 30 minutes away. Our tow driver brought my husband, our daughter, the two-year-old twins, and me to Pep Boys, then kindly brought us here. It was 4 a.m., and checkout was at 11, but the front desk woman moved our stay to tonight and arranged early check-in so we’d have somewhere comfortable to rest. I hadn’t realized breakfast wasn’t complimentary. I’d packed food for the twins, then went back for food for my husband and me. The women serving breakfast had heard what happened and told me it was on the house that day. Later, family called to say my MIL was doing poorly and we should prepare ourselves. All our chargers were in the broken truck, so I rushed to the lobby to ask whether the gas station sold phone chargers. The man at the desk let us borrow one. After running in and out and taking calls, I teared up during the 30-second elevator ride. Two employees were there and comforted me. I pulled myself together before returning to our room. We don’t live nearby, but if I need a place in Tuscaloosa again, I’ll come back here. I usually stay at Fairfield elsewhere, but now I’ll be a Hilton stayer.

We stopped for one night on our two-week girls trip, heading home to Oklahoma, and this has to be the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Andrea was exceptional, and everyone gave us the best service I’ve ever had. I’d highly recommend it.
