The owner responded to my earlier review by asking why I hadn't left as soon as I found a roach and questioning why I had no photos, comparing this with pictures on my other reviews. I was trying to kill the bug, not take a picture. When I asked Gee to move us, I was told that wasn't possible after check-in; the only offer was bug spray. I asked for my money back and was told it was outside the 48-hour window. I'll get this handled. Have a blessed day, owner. All of this happened within about eight hours of checking in around 9:45, after nobody was available past 11 p.m. There were roaches, the A/C didn't work, and gaps under the doors let bugs in, so I put down a towel. They only had body towels, and when I asked for wash towels I was refused. I couldn't get moved or speak with a manager, and the morning shift was impolite. I'll never stay here again.

Gordon and Addie were friendly and helpful, the only bright spots in a frustrating stay. Housekeeping only comes once every three days, which may not suit everyone. Wi-Fi was out at check-in, the hair dryer didn't work, and there weren't enough bath towels. The Starlight Inn desk was closed when we arrived, so Oasis Inn handled check-in. They insisted we'd booked a one-person room, even though our confirmed reservation listed three guests, and downgraded us from two beds to one. When we showed them the confirmation, they blamed the third-party booking site. This whole operation felt like a lesson in how not to run a hotel. Best Hotels is an absolute POS. Book a name-brand place and spare yourself the headache. Comparing this to Motel 6 would insult Motel 6. My response: “No. I have no affiliation with any other motel or hotel. This post was not an advertisement for any other business.”

I chose Oasis because I didn't want to stay at the Starlight, but after booking I was sent over there. Apparently Oasis owns and manages it too, despite what I was led to believe. The room was pretty clean, but amenities were sparse: no hand towel, very few cups, and only one towel per person. Our A/C made such a loud scraping noise that we couldn't run it at night. There's no pool access for Starlight guests, even though it's in the same parking lot under the same management and apparently on the same website. It felt like we were treated as second-class guests. Some rooms also seemed to have people living in them permanently, which felt a little sketchy. I wouldn't book here again.

Our reservation was confirmed, then canceled by text just 20 minutes before we were due to arrive. We were already nearby and got no other communication or help. On a holiday weekend, with every other hotel in the area full, that left us scrambling for somewhere to stay. Hotels should honor confirmed bookings, or at least give reasonable notice and assistance. After this, I can't recommend the place.

Nadia, Tyler, Destiny, June, Amanda, and Jessica were wonderful: kind, helpful, and always ready to bring what I asked for. I really appreciated their hospitality. My experience with Gordon and Jennifer was very different. When I told Gordon I had a service dog, he asked for paperwork about the dog or my medical disability. I said that wasn't allowed, but gave him paperwork anyway to avoid fees or an argument. Jennifer, the housekeeper, was rude when I asked for toilet paper, sheets, or towels, and a few times tossed toilet paper down to me from the top floor. I wasn't pleased with how either of them handled things. They need retraining on what they can ask about service animals, and Jennifer should provide paying guests with the supplies they need instead of being rude.
