Dunes Motel

I’ve stayed with NLP several times across three of their properties, and so far I like the dunes best. It’s clean and comfortable, with no frills. Bring your own bedding and towels. It’s pet friendly, the other guests are friendly, and fast food places and a few gas stations are within walking distance.

The sheets and comforter were stained, so the room didn’t feel clean at all. There weren’t any pots or pans, despite what we’d been told, and the room had no hooks for coats, towels, or anything else. For the first several days, there wasn’t even a toilet paper holder. They installed one while we were out without telling us ahead of time. I won’t stay there again.

New Leaf Property Management has brought back what a good motel can be. The rooms are clean and affordable, and the staff are always friendly. Never underestimate new management. These guys are A1 sauce!

I’m in room 6 and stayed seven days at $25 a night. I needed two more days, paid $50, and then they turned around and said it was $50 per night. Nobody told me that at the start, and I wish they had. They don’t provide maid service, the bathroom was dirty, and the floor needed mopping. I had to bring my own towels, bedding, and bathroom amenities. What am I paying $50 a night for? The free cable was spotty, and I could barely hear the TV whenever the air was on. I should’ve stayed at Motel 6.
