Lakeview Motel

The owner was nice, which is why I’m giving two stars and hoping he can improve the place. The rate was reasonable, but the room needs a lot of work. The floors were crusty, the shower and toilet were nasty, and there were boogers on the walls. The sink counter was partly coming off the wall, the windows were drafty and held together with duct tape, and there were about four different floor surfaces patched together. The roof leaks, there was no smoke detector or fire extinguisher in the room, and the faucet only gave either scalding or lukewarm water. I’m pretty sure someone was growing dope in one of the rooms.

For an older building, the room I saw was spacious, clean, and nice, and the TV was bigger than ones I’ve seen in much fancier places. The bathroom sink water came out warm right away, but that was the only temperature it had. I only stopped by briefly as a guest, and it seemed like a decent place with a very convenient location.

The owner is really caring and nice, and parking was easy. Everything was clean, there were no bugs anywhere around the motel, and the bathroom was the best part, with the water working perfectly. The floors look fabulous, whatever anyone else says!

When I first got to Wisconsin for work in Sheboygan a few years ago, I stayed at this motel for just over a month. The owner and manager was very helpful and nice. The rates were decent, and the rooms were fine for an older motel. I’d definitely stay again.
