The inside of our unit wasn't ready properly: the master bed had no sheets made up and was missing both a quilt and comforter, and the rugs were dingy and dirty. Outside, the property felt neglected. Our only entrance was through a parking area that kept flooding, which made getting in difficult and unsafe and left the elevators flooded and unusable. Some entrances around the complex didn't work either. Tybee Island Vacation Rentals managed unit 311 and offered little help. They returned only a small part of the cleaning fee despite the problems. I'd look elsewhere on Tybee Island for a better maintained place.

There was plenty of room, with three bedrooms, a full kitchen, three bathrooms, and a huge master bedroom. The private balcony was large, too. The room was amazing, and I'd recommend this place to anyone. Having a washer and dryer was handy.

Inside, our unit was updated, nice, and comfortable, though the air conditioner couldn't cool it below 72 degrees. The location is the complex's main advantage: the beach is a 3-4 minute walk from the condo, and the pier and shops are a couple minutes farther. The rest needs serious attention, from the stairs, exterior doors, elevators, landscaping, and gates to the parking setup. The 15th Street gate was blocked with cones, even though it looked usable, so everyone had to enter from Butler Street across two lanes of traffic. There was room for just one car to stop and enter a code, and cars for all three buildings had to pass through Building 1's single lane parking deck. The decks have 7'0" clearance, are narrow, and have only one way in and out, so you have to turn around and return the same way. Most spaces are tandem, and other cars parked in our numbered spot several times during our week. The pool had three gates, but two remained padlocked with a master lock the whole stay. The only shower and hose were by the back gate, which couldn't be opened from the beach even with the code. We had to go through a garage, up to the ground floor, and past another locked gate to reach the one by 15th Street that was unlocked. A faded sign said the pool closed at 9:00pm. The complex employees were nowhere around during the day, but they showed up right at 9:00pm to clear everyone out and lock the gate, even on a Saturday in July.

The condo itself was clean, spacious, and had a nice kitchen. We had 10 people and plenty of room. The beach is only steps away, though you have to cross a public parking lot, and that part of the beach was crowded and had trash. We walked past the pier to the south end instead, which was quieter, cleaner, and relaxing. The pool was small enough that people nearly bumped into each other. We tried the other, larger pool one day, but it had no shallow or deep end, and the water came up to my 9 year old's neck. The owners were hard to reach, and once they left me on hold and forgot about me. I overheard a lot of complaining about me because the phone was still on. The condo was great, but after all that we'd probably stay farther south next time.

The location was great, and the pool area was decent, but the association needs to take better care of the property. Our top-floor apartment was difficult to access because the elevator was out. The stairs were filthy and needed repairs in spots. There was no recycling, and the walkway from the garage to the rear pool entrance and beach was overrun with mosquitoes. We couldn't get through without being bitten, and we got covered in bites in the garage too. That area badly needs spraying.
