The nearby places were fun and easy to reach, though we spent most of our time in Savannah, so I can't really comment on Tybee itself. We had a great time in the condo overall and would probably come back.

We paid an extremely high price for a shabby place, and ended up buying ice every day because the ice maker never worked. We reported the problem right away at 321 Oceansong in Beachside Colony, where we stayed for three nights, and were told maintenance would handle it. When I checked at the office the next day, a guest ahead of me was complaining that their dining table had fallen apart and that the advertised heated pool wasn't heated. The elderly desk attendant said the pool issue wasn't her fault and that the maintenance man was off. When I reminded her about our ice maker, she said she was waiting for him to come in. I asked why she'd just said he was off, and she looked stunned. After a pause, she said someone would call us. On our third day, a man came to look at the machine and said someone would come Saturday, after we'd already been due to leave. We felt we deserved some kind of refund.

The pool was nice, and getting to the beach was easy. We had a nice room in an amazing spot right on the beach.
