Royal Palms Motel

My family and I had a fantastic weekend stay from February 27th through March 1st. The room was clean and comfortable, with a really cool vintage look. It was super affordable, and the staff were always available and helpful. We all agree we'll definitely come back in the near future.

We stayed over Memorial Day Weekend and were really happy with the room for the price. It was very clean and well appointed, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and professional. We live somewhat locally and will definitely come back for another staycation. You couldn't beat the price for this room quality anywhere else on Tybee.

I don't usually get this attached to a place I visit, but this one has become somewhere I want to escape to, even when life is going fine. The hospitality, cleanliness, location, and atmosphere all won me over. Cynthia and Becky in the front office were so welcoming and treated me like family from the start. I found the motel by accident while trying to escape reality, and picked it for its cute motel feel and beach proximity. Both delivered. It's intimate but laid out well, and the beach is about a block and a half away, perfect for sunrise, daytime, or sunset walks. My first room was 20, a king room that felt better than some small beach studios I've lived in. It looked and smelled so clean, which matters a lot since I travel often. On my second getaway I found the cute 1950s style kitchenettes in every room, with a full mini fridge, microwave, and turquoise pod coffee maker. Even the bath products were good, better than what you sometimes get at pricey hotels. The pool isn't heated, but the ocean water is. There are great restraints on the north and south ends, and Miss Cynthia and Miss Becky will gladly leave your hungry tummy's too.

Our first stay at The Royal Palms Motel was such a hit that we'll be back. I've been bringing my family to Tybee Island for 14 years, and we loved the clean room, with its separate bedroom and queen bed in the living area. It was affordable, check-in and checkout were easy, and the pool was clean and great. The beach was also close, just a short walk over the dunes.
