Quality Inn Tyler - Lindale

The room is gross: bugs on the floor, hair in the supposedly clean beds, and a strong mold smell as soon as you walk in. We’re stuck because it’s too late to cancel and book somewhere else. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

We had trouble getting into the rooms because none of the keys worked. After going back to the desk for replacements, it still took four or five tries before one finally let us in. The rooms were extremely hot, so we turned down the AC. There was a large dead cockroach on the bathroom floor, which my husband cleaned up, and then he spotted little roaches crawling along the walls. I was in the bedroom spraying everything down when I saw a bug. On top of all that, they charged the usual $100 incidental deposit and also asked for $10 per adult. My family and I had a horrible stay.

The clean sheets were about the only good thing I can say. We weren’t robbed, and our car was still there in the morning, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. People out front were chain smoking, making calls, and meeting passing cars, which looked suspicious. Inside, the AC smelled musty and had visible black spots on its vent slats. The hallway carpet was stained, plaster was peeling, and the walls in the room had stains and mismatched paint. The shower took 20 minutes to get hot, the room door didn’t shut squarely, and the sliding glass door wouldn’t latch securely. It was cheap, and it felt cheap for a reason. Most disappointing hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The breakfast area was the nicest part, with nice decor and good food. The room itself was dirty, smelled awful, and had roaches.
