Woldert-Spence Manor

Mike and Barb made us feel welcome and were gracious hosts, chatting with guests along the way. Barb knows so much about the house and the Woldert family. The manor was spotless, nicely kept, and decorated with great taste. Breakfast was wonderful too, and there was plenty to eat.

For a peaceful stay in Tyler, this is a good place to choose. Barb and Mike were excellent hosts.

Barbara made breakfast fresh every morning, and we really enjoyed talking with her about our travels and plenty of other things. Tea, coffee, and tasty snacks were available in the dining room all day. Parking behind the gate was convenient, and the digital locks for the house and our room worked well. We found the location handy for exploring Tyler and the surrounding area. The rose gardens were just a five-minute drive away, with several good places to eat a short drive from there. Mike and Barbara were wonderful hosts throughout, and the Woldert-Spence Manor has a fascinating history. A rare five-star stay, and we've already told our friends in Texas about it. Ten out of ten.

We came back for a second stay at the Woldert-Spence bed and breakfast and brought the family this time. Everyone loved it. We all had room to sit together in the parlor and just talk. Barb and Mike are attentive hosts, keeping our water and coffee topped up, and they know a lot about the house and family history. Breakfast was magnificent again. If Barb asks what you'd like, request the stuffed mushroom caps. They're delicious.
