I spent 15 years working in hotel sales, so the pet fee they tried to add was hard to accept. I asked about a one-year agreement, and the sales manager and I settled on $2,000 a month. Just as we were about to sign the reservation, someone who hadn't been part of the discussion came in and wanted another $800 added, charging $25 per night for the pet. The sales manager said he'd call with an update within an hour, but he never did. In my experience, pet fees for groups or long stays are often waived or kept low on a monthly basis, rather than charged daily at nearly half the room's daily rate. If you're bringing pets or planning a longer stay, I wouldn't recommend this place. The Extended Stay options are decent and waive pet fees, and the Wyndham across the street is nicer and doesn't try to screw you.

I was excited to visit the area for the first time, so this was really heartbreaking. I booked through a third-party app around 11 p.m., then realized I'd chosen the wrong date and immediately contacted my agent to fix it. There was no one at the hotel who could help because management wasn't on duty, so we were told to call again in the morning. My agent tried then, but the hotel still wouldn't change the date and kept my money. I was willing to extend the stay and pay the difference. I've traveled all over and have never had an experience that made me feel this sick to my stomach. The woman on the phone didn't seem to care. I never even got to check in, and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone traveling.

Avoid this Suburban Studios location. When I checked in on Friday, my room was in a severely unsanitary state. I took photos right away showing visible mold and mildew, broken caulk, and dried gum and debris in both the bathroom and main area. I notified the front desk immediately, but they refused to move me or address it. I also contacted Choice Hotels corporate. A week later, I'm still trying to get a refund. Corporate staff said the photos showed the room looked unclean, but the property owner denies the claims and corporate is protecting an unresponsive owner. I want a full monetary refund because of the clear breach of health and safety standards. The management and cleanliness need a complete overhaul before anyone should stay here.

The bed felt like a cheap bunk-bed mattress, and it sounded like it might collapse when I sat down. The elevator looked like it belonged in a project. At breakfast, the attendant couldn't say what the meat was. She called it chicken, but there was another brown patty in the tray that looked like sausage. The afternoon front desk attendant was incredibly rude, acting like she was handing out free subsidies. She had no customer-service skills at all.
