Americas Best Value Inn Ukiah

I was left with nowhere to stay and had to sleep in my car again, even though I’d already paid online for a room I was never allowed to use. America’s Best Value Inn hadn’t mentioned the extra $100 deposit on its website or during booking, but the front desk refused to check me in without it. I had proof of payment and still got no room, help, or compassion. The staff were dismissive and unprofessional, and the way they spoke to me made me feel singled out and discriminated against. It was humiliating and completely avoidable. I’d never recommend this hotel to anyone expecting honesty, professionalism, or basic human decency.

The heater didn’t work, and the noise went on day and night, loud music, people partying, and traffic all night. I couldn’t sleep and didn’t feel safe there. It’s a motel, not a place to blast music all night. If the owners keep an eye on the property, how can they not notice the drug traffic?

The rates are very fair, and the rooms have been excellent. I’ve stayed at this motel several times, and the service has been exceptional each time. I’d come back.

The smell stayed in everything, the towels, sheets, pillowcases, all of it, and I didn’t sleep at all during my one night there. As soon as we entered, the cigarette smoke was overpowering. The bed covers had cigarette burns and scratches. We opened the windows and switched on the noisy fan to try to air it out, but somehow the smoke seemed even stronger. Something in the room also jingled and beeped from time to time overnight. Worst stay I can remember. I’m not going back, and they shouldn’t get business until they change.
