Comfort Inn Ferdinand

The only real snag was one evening when the Wi-Fi slowed down so much that I had to switch to my phone's hotspot. The rest of my stay was great. It seems like a fairly new, well-run place in a convenient spot, and it felt safe. At about 75 bucks a night, with breakfast included, I thought it was well worth the money. There's also a pool and a game room on the first floor, though I didn't use either. I'd gladly stay again if I'm in the area.

We’ve had such bad luck with hotels that staying here more than once says a lot. The hotel was quiet even on a fully booked night, which we really appreciated with a toddler, and the bed was comfortable. Our room was clean, with no musty or strange smells. The front desk staff have all been wonderful, and the new manager, Joe, treated us like family and made sure we had what we needed. You can see he's putting real effort into making the place great. Breakfast was hot and fresh, with plenty of choices. The pool area was clean too, and they had a few toys and floaties for the kids. We enjoyed both visits and plan to come back next time we go to Holiday World.

Getting in and out was easy, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. I had a quiet, comfortable, clean room, and the relaxed feel of the place made it easy to unwind after a long day. The staff were warm and helpful throughout. Joe stood out for being attentive and genuinely kind. It was a dependable place with cozy rooms and friendly service, and I'd happily return.

I stayed here last year when My Son had an overnight trip at St. Meinrad and everything else was booked. I woke up with someone else's EKG medical device attached to Me. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned. I showered, went straight downstairs with the device piece in My hand, and gave it to the front desk representative. She said the manager would speak with Me before I left, but nobody did. I left My contact information at the desk, then heard nothing all day. When I called, the representative said Her manager still hadn't come in. I waited through the weekend with no response, then contacted corporate. Since the hotel is privately owned, corporate couldn't help Me get a refund. I called the hotel the following Monday and got a nasty representative, then a nasty manager. The customer service was completely different from what I experienced during the stay. I couldn't understand why I was getting grief over waking up with another person's medical device attached to Me. The manager said there was nothing She could do because I had contacted corporate. By then almost a week had passed and nobody from the hotel had followed up. My Daughter has the same trip next week, and now I don't know where it's safe to stay. I called this year and was told the hotel has different management, but They offered no compensation. I didn't take pictures because I was so disgusted. The woman took the device as if She were submitting it as evidence, but it seems She just wanted to throw it away.
