The lanai is a peaceful spot for morning coffee, looking out over the valley, and the home has nice furnishings and all the comforts you’d need. It’s a wonderfully secluded place to stay, with lush tropical surroundings. The road is narrow and very twisty, and it takes 10 to 15 minutes from the main highway, which is why I rated the location four stars. Still, the drive isn’t difficult. It’s a good base for getting away from the tourist buzz, or you might end up spending the day there just to decompress.

Tom and Vicki, thanks for a great stay at the Bamboo Valley Inn! My wife and I wanted somewhere quiet away from the resorts where we could cook for ourselves, and this was just right. It’s near Hana Highway, with most places on Maui within about an hour’s drive. There’s a grocery store around five minutes away, Costco takes 20-30 minutes, and Baldwin Beach is about a 15 minute drive.

The bamboo valley gives this place a calm, peaceful feel that really suits Maui. We spent a week at the Bamboo Valley for our honeymoon and were so glad we picked it. Towns were about 30 minutes away, and it was a great starting point for the road to Hana. Tom and Vikki made sure we had comfort and privacy. For us, this was a much smarter stay than a resort or hotel.
