Hampton Inn By Hilton Union City

The breakfast was much better than we expected, with a waffle and oatmeal station and lots of toppings, baked goods, smoked sausage, potatoes obien, omelets, several juices, and cereal. The rooms were very clean and well stocked, and we liked that signing into Netflix and Disney automatically signed us out afterward. The Wi-Fi was easy to use and included. We checked in around 11 pm and felt safe in the parking lot with the kids, even while making several trips to the car. The staff were great at check-in, during breakfast, and when we checked out. My husband and I are still talking about how enjoyable the stay was several days later, and we ABSOLUTELY look forward to staying here again.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Great location too. I'll definitely stay here again on another road trip. Highly recommend!

They wouldn't honor the government rate for subcontractors, even after we showed the paperwork proving we were on business for a government organization. At first, they said the contract dated 12/20/24 didn't qualify because we were checking in in April. We explained it covered five months, then they asked for government IDs. The rate was $110, which fit our budget, but they said they could only offer $184, so we had to leave. The Quality Inn next door honored the rate. I know it's the hotel's choice whether to accept a government rate, but management turned away two rooms at $110 a night because they couldn't get $184. This was a Wednesday in April in Union City, and I doubt they were sold out. They lost $220 and sent that business to the hotel next door. Bad business model, if you ask me.

The snack area by the front desk was the most varied and well stocked one I've seen at any hotel. They even had vegan choices, which I don't need, but I was impressed. Otherwise, it's a pretty standard Hampton Inn: clean, with easy access to restaurants and attractions.
