We got into town on October 11 looking for an affordable place to stay. The price felt worth it. Most things, including the toilets and floors, had been renovated, and the hotel was very clean and smelled nice. I recommend it for people on a budget.

The owner was kind and accommodating, and the inn is within walking distance of lots of restaurant options and whatever else you might need. Our room was comfortable, with a soft bed and pillows. It looks like he’s remodeling the rooms, too. Check-in and check-out were both easy for our overnight stay.

The room was filthy, so I left. The guy checking me in was trying to bum money off me, too. I’m still trying to get a refund. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time.

The price was good, and the Hallmarc Inn in New Albany, MS, was conveniently located, but the stay was uncomfortable. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, including the linens. I had to put Vicks under my nose and pull my own shirt over my head to try to sleep. Smoke from the adjoining room, from cigarettes or something stronger, kept coming into ours whenever the neighbor smoked. There was just one stained towel for two people. The room looked clean at first glance, but there was hair on the bathroom floor and matted in the carpet, which showed up as soon as I swept a shoe over it. Cleanliness and comfort need a lot of work.

My daughter and I stumbled across this amazing hotel while traveling around the states. The room was awesome, check-in was easy and quick, and the owner and staff were amazing. Thanks for all the kindness and support!
