We spent a couple of hours moving between the pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna, then unwinding among the tropical plants. They provide bathrobes and slippers, so the walk down to the pool was easy. Our two-bedroom cabin was laid out well and fit all six of us, even if it felt a little small. The kids loved ending the evening at the firepits with the fancy s’mores kits from the front desk. We also had good meals both at the restaurant and through room service, with a great choice of dishes and wine and lovely views. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly, and the whole place is beautiful and peaceful. We love coming here with the kids for a day or two to relax. Alderbrook feels like an experience, not just a hotel. We’ll be back.

Brook, the friendly little cat on the property, was a sweet bonus. My husband and I had such a cozy, relaxing weekend at this beautiful resort, and we’d love to come back for another getaway.

The boys had fun in the pool, and the sauna and steam room were a great addition. We were also pleasantly surprised by the restaurant: the food was excellent and the service was just as good. Staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly, even bringing a microwave up to our room when we asked. It’s a lovely spot with beautiful views, and although it’s remote, we were glad we came. We’re looking forward to returning.

We drove about 30 minutes to High Steel Bridge during our stay. Looking down from there was terrifying, honestly, but unforgettable. Back at Alderbrook Resort & Spa, we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, and Michelle and Joyce were wonderful servers. The Hood Canal views are breathtaking, and the property is beautifully maintained, from the waterfront to the spa. Everything felt peaceful and thoughtfully done, with an atmosphere and amenities that get 100/100 from us. My wife and I found the service excellent from the moment we arrived. Every staff member we met was friendly and professional, and they all seemed committed to making our stay special. It’s a great setting for a romantic getaway or a relaxing weekend. We left refreshed and grateful, and Alderbrook has a special place in our hearts. We’re already looking forward to coming back for years to come.

I’ve visited several times over the years, sometimes just for a day trip along Hood Canal and a stop at the bar. The restaurant and bar food has always been quite good, and the views are beautiful. The rooms are nice, though a little dated, and the place is very well kept. The staff are wonderful. It’s always been a great experience.
