The gated parking makes me feel safe, and I’m glad people smoke or vape outside instead of in the rooms. Breakfast was good, too. I’ve stayed twice for date nights, and the rooms were nice and clean. The front staff were so friendly and welcoming both times. I wish I’d remembered their names. On my first visit, they clearly explained the stay details when I had questions. On the second visit, a family with kids in the room next door was loud while getting them settled for bed. I know what travelling with kids is like, so it wasn’t the staff’s fault. I asked to change rooms so I could enjoy a night away from my own kids, and the front desk person handled it very kindly. I was a little bummed that WiFi worked in the living area but not the bedroom upstairs. It had worked perfectly in the downstairs room, so I wondered if changing rooms was worth it. Still, I’ll return because of the clean rooms and nice staff.

There are several restaurants and a Walmart within walking distance, and the hotel is close to my work, so I’d consider staying again. I travel to this city monthly, and my usual hotel was full, so I stayed here for a week without expecting much. The service turned out to be quite good. At night, people often hang around in the parking lot, and some appear to be homeless, which can make the area feel less secure. The walls are thin, too, so you can hear all the noise from neighboring rooms very easily. I hope staff take a more active approach to discouraging people from loitering in the lot so guests can feel more comfortable.

The rooms used to be kept up, but now the furniture is damaged or stained with unknown substances. On my last business stay, I formally asked management to move me because the room conditions were subpar. The onsite manager, Alex, responded with very unpleasant words and suggestions about where I should stay if I wasn’t happy. He threatened to put me on the “no stay list” if I requested a room change. I’m here for work about three times a month. Lately, I’ve seen many displaced people staying at the property and staying up late, loitering in the lot, smoking or vaping around the pools and common areas. Best western, you’re better than this. Please get back to basics and train staff to make customers feel comfortable and confident about coming back.

2/15/2026 Sat, we stayed upstairs in the Room 200 range. The price was reasonable, and the laminate wood floor was a nice change from carpet. Breakfast at 8:45am was actually good, and there were plenty of scrambled eggs. But you could hear the neighbors’ doors opening and closing, and I got woken up by it way too early. The toilet flushed so loudly it felt like it might explode, though at least it flushed powerfully enough that you won’t get a clogged toilet. The breakfast attendant looked tired and was sitting down, not keeping track of the metal food warmers. Her tip jar was full, maybe from an early rush. I got the last sausage patties and five small pieces of seasoned potatoes. Two people who arrived after me also had to eat eggs and were disappointed there was no more hot food. All that was left besides the eggs was cereal, waffles, bread and coffee.

I stay here once a week, but this time they asked me for my breakfast ticket. That would’ve been perfectly fine if they checked everyone, but I was the only one asked. I stuck around to see whether they’d ask anybody else. You’d think they’d recognize me by now, but instead they seemed unsure I was even a guest.
