Sitting by the windows and watching Old Faithful erupt was the highlight for me. Its eruption times are posted online if you want to plan around them. The vast log cabin has plenty of seating and a propane fireplace. There’s a gift shop with snacks and drinks, a cafeteria open from noon to 6 p.m., and a cafe open from 6 a.m. to noon. Featured artists and photographers are there too, and the scenery is so breathtaking it might inspire you to make art yourself. My room was clean, though it had an old smell, and the heater worked very well. The bed was comfortable, and there was lots of lighting. It had a shower, although some rooms don’t. A great place to sleep, grab coffee or a quick breakfast, then sit and watch the geyser.

The location is hard to beat for the price. It was quiet but still close to everything Old Faithful has to offer. Our cabin was small, but nice enough. The pipes froze, so we had no hot water and were asked to leave the sink dripping all night. That was fine, though the sink was between the beds. They offered a shower in the main lodge, but I just took a quick cold one. The discount they gave us made up for the trouble. I do wish the pillows were better, they were a bit lumpy.

It’s an excellent spot, just a two-minute walk from Old Faithful, so you can catch several eruptions during your stay. The cabins are cozy, clean, and well maintained. A very nice option for staying inside the park, and good value for money.

These cabins are quiet and clean, a short walk from Old Faithful, and the most economical choice in the Park besides camping. They’re rustic, with just a sink and reasonably comfortable beds, and the communal restrooms and showers are nearby. Don’t expect luxury. Wi-Fi is spotty, but if that’s what you came to the Park for, you may want to adjust your priorities.

We stayed two nights and saw Old Faithful erupt four times, once before heading out into the park in the morning and again after we returned in the evening. The location is amazing. Our cabin was a bit small and rustic, but clean, with an old-school charm.
