ADK Trail Inn

The game room was a real highlight on those cold nights, with a wood stove, pool, table tennis, foosball, plus board games and puzzles. They also have hot coffee and a carafe of hot water in the office, along with plenty of tea and hot chocolate, and a packed breakfast is available. The place is clean, warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches like homemade cookies at check-in. Prices are very competitive for the High Peaks, and it’s well placed for hikes and other outdoor activities.

After a full day on the trails, this is a handy place to get some rest. The rooms are in a building that has an old motel feel, but they’re clean and comfortable and cover the basics. There’s no TV in the rooms, though the inviting lodge and game room area has one. Amy was easy to reach, and the staff we met were very friendly. We also appreciated having a bag breakfast ready in the morning. We came during rainy weather, so I’d like to return and enjoy more of the grounds.

We loved our two nights at the ADK Trail Inn. There was plenty of room in our spacious room to get our gear sorted for hiking Giant, and the property itself is really nice. We saw people gathered around the fire pit each evening when we returned. For an early start, we picked up the bagged breakfasts the night before. We missed the lobby coffee at 6 on hike morning, but got to try it the next day, and it was delicious. The front office has limited hours, so when we ran low on toilet paper we couldn’t ask for more. Apart from that, it was a lovely stay and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time here, especially in the game room and at the Monday Tuesday grill. The room was cozy and clean, and the whole place had a wonderful feel to it. It’s also ideally located for Keene and the High Peak trailheads. I’ll definitely come back to stay.
