Eastland Suites Hotel and Conference Center

They were very accommodating about checkout, letting us stay until 12:30 so we could get ready for a wedding that didn’t start until 1. That helped a lot. We also appreciated being able to check in early after arriving in town ahead of schedule. The room was clean and nice, though a previous guest had left a few things in the mini fridge, which I tossed. The pool was supposed to stay open until 10, according to the sign and what we were told at check-in, but at 9 it was already closed and inaccessible. We’d even gone to Walmart to buy swim clothes, so that was frustrating. Breakfast was advertised as free from 6 to 9. When I went down around 7:30, there was barely anything, just bread and jam and stale cereal from the dispensers. We hadn’t planned to pay for another breakfast, so that became an unexpected expense. The hotel was otherwise comfortable and the staff were helpful, but the advertised amenities were a letdown.

The breakfast was stale bread and cereal, and every hallway smelled of smoke and incense despite the no smoking signs on the doors. We couldn’t find anyone to check out with, just a sign saying they’d be back in 15 minutes. My husband and I booked the honeymoon suite mainly for its two person whirlpool tub, but only half the jets worked and the water wasn’t even lukewarm. The pool area and water weren’t heated either. At the price we paid, that was very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it.

A.K at the front desk made me feel welcome and went out of his way to help me have a good stay. He was professional, too. My room was spacious and clean, and it smelled amazing. There’s a pool, exercise room, free breakfast, and even slot machines on sight. I’d come back.

The beds were dirty, and there was black mold on the showerhead. Breakfast had no hot food, just soggy apples and bananas. Crappy hotel. I’d pick the Motel 6 across the street, even though I’ve never stayed there. Stay clear of this place.
