I booked and paid online, then was told my card had been declined and the payment hadn't gone through. I needed the room, so I paid again. Later I checked my account and both charges had gone through. I believe the desk clerk didn't want to honor the lower online price and lied about the transaction. I repeatedly asked him to show proof on the computer so I could contact PayPal, but he kept dodging the question. Only after I got agitated and refused to leave did he print something out. It looked like he had canceled my reservation and charged me twice. Don't stay here. I'm going to get my money back.

The night attendant was nice, but the place was awful. We stayed on October 5, 2024, on the way to the beach. It was late and we were exhausted, and the room was disgusting, dirty and moldy with stained sheets.

The front desk area has been remodeled, but the rooms were in bad shape. The dresser was missing drawer handles, the floors had dips, and the door locks for security were held on by only one screw. On top of that, the smoke alarms went off randomly and stayed on when they sounded at 2am last night. It was listed at 89.00, but we paid 113.00. My husband and I had stopped here on the way home from vacation.

We've stayed here every year for many years, but the place has gone downhill. Now it smells bad, it's dirty, and it feels unsafe. It's a convenient halfway stop on the drive home from vacation, but I hope we don't have to stay again.

There was a ton of mold in our bathroom, so don't stay here if you have a mold allergy. The room wasn't clean either, and the complimentary breakfast was terrible: stale biscuits and pastries, plus sausage and egg patties that were inedible. I wouldn't recommend it.
