The lobby is gorgeous, and you can really feel the place's history. I also liked the gym, especially for a hotel. On my most recent visit, breakfast wasn't being served, which was a letdown, but the restaurant and bar were great. That burger was ridiculously good, and they still have the Doubletree cookie. I've stayed here plenty of times and keep coming back. The neighborhood is just okay for me, though there's plenty close by; I usually stay in anyway.

The location worked well for the auditorium and Nexus center, about a two-block walk. My corner double room was huge, with lots of space, a large bathroom, a comfortable bed, and it was clean. The building feels worn and could use an update. Doors don't shut properly, and the handle came off the door in my nephew's room. Staff were reasonably friendly, though they seemed a little reluctant to be there. Maybe the deep winter freeze had something to do with that. Mostly an average stay.

We live nearby, but like to book a night here around the work Christmas Party so we can enjoy the city and have our Utica night. This time our room wasn't going to be ready in time for us to get changed, so they upgraded us to make the evening work. The room on the 9th floor was great, and I loved the jacuzzi tub. We really enjoy staying here!

We had to find somewhere to stay at the last minute after our plans suddenly changed, and this hotel worked out well. Parking is free and plentiful, right downtown. The lobby and rooms are beautiful, and the room was comfortable. Staff were very friendly. It costs more, but given the short notice and the comfort and quality we got, I can't complain about the price.

The staff were there and attentive when I arrived, and they seemed to care about the little details and guests' experience. It's a spacious, handsome place with a lovely lobby and a real sense of history. I also appreciated getting those warm cookies at check-in.
