My husband and son didn’t get checked in until almost 7pm, and the whole stay was awful. There was blood in the sink and on the towels, the floors were gross, and the beds were disgusting. They couldn’t get a key, there was no hot water or working TV, and our friends’ toilet didn’t work either. There was nowhere else to stay because it was opening day of dove season. When I raised the problems, the front desk person’s demeanor really bothered me. She said the manager would be away on vacation for the next week and they wouldn’t refund us since we’d stayed. As a mom, I’m upset that my 7 year old said it was “like straight out of a horror movie.” For the price, nobody should stay there. This was meant to be a memorable first hunting trip for my husband and son. Now my son keeps bringing up the horrible hotel I reserved for them. I hope contacting corporate, as someone suggested, helps.

I spent a couple of weeks here and had a great experience, except for housekeeping. My room only got cleaned when I asked and complained. I did make a new friend, though. Brittany, who works in the office, is really cool and sweet, and I’m glad I met her since I don’t have many friends.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the location is just off the main road. What stood out most was the service: Brittany at the front desk, the concierge, and even the stewardship all went above what I expected. I plan to stay here again.

The bed was amazing, really soft and comfortable, and the pillows were good too. That’s why I gave it two stars. Otherwise, this place feels like it should cost about $25 a night: the floors were filthy, there were just two towels and no washcloths, the walls were coming apart, and our TV didn’t work.
