Most of the staff were great, which makes this especially disappointing. I’ve stayed here four times in the past year, but had to cancel one night unexpectedly. I understand there are policies. What I can’t accept is waiting three weeks to reach the store manager, getting no call back despite the front desk passing along my messages, and then hearing from the GM today that there was no flexibility or offer to help, even though I’ve been a good customer. The lack of communication and respect is unacceptable in hospitality. I won’t stay here again. Best of luck to the staff, they’ll need it.

I really like the corner spot under the tree, and hanging out by the pool with no restrictions was nice. The place feels cozy, and I’ve liked the service and amenities. It’s good for a quick stop or a business trip. They’re renovating right now, so I can’t wait to see how it looks when that’s done.

The spoiled coffee creamer was bad enough, and they started cleaning the coffee machine while we were trying to get breakfast coffee. At check-in, the woman couldn’t program the key properly, then treated me like I was a moron when I said it didn’t work. She remade it, had me follow her to the room, and told me to lift the handle. I had already tried that. How is that supposed to fix the door? They also made me park in the lot and put me in their noisiest room. Don’t recommend it, and I won’t stay again.

The breakfast was awful, and after my stay there were charges on my card that I hadn’t authorized. Staff were extremely unhelpful when I tried to deal with it. Holiday Inn used to be a respected, nice chain, but it’s really gone downhill.

I slept really well here, and the couch and bed had a nice upscale look. The room and bathroom were very clean overall, though I did spot some hair near the bed. There was a little damage on the wall, and the bathroom floor and shower could use some repair and better cleaning. Still, I had a very good stay at this Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Uvalde Texas. Please keep up the good work, especially with the cleaning.
