Fairfield Inn & Suites St. Paul Northeast

The room chair was remarkably uncomfortable, much like the lobby seating, though putting bed pillows on its seat and back made TV time better. Aside from that, my refurbished fourth-floor king room was thoughtfully laid out for storage, the bathroom, and comfortable sleep, and I really appreciated the little fridge for my road refreshments. The property was clean inside and out, parking and entry access were convenient, and the design and location kept traffic noise down. Being two blocks from I-35E made travel easy while still feeling removed from the road. During my 3-night stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites St. Paul Northeast, the staff stood out, from the front desk to housekeeping and breakfast attendants. Tamara deserves a special mention for a professional, informative check-in. This was the most satisfying mid-range hotel stay I've had in quite some time, and I'd book Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites St. Paul Northeast again without hesitation when visiting the Twin Cities.

The breakfast was great, and the staff were really helpful when I called about something we'd accidentally left in our room. They found it right away, mailed it to us, and it arrived the next day. They even sent the tracking number. I'd definitely recommend staying there.

There was plenty of parking, and the hotel is close to lots of places to eat and things to do. The rooms were cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff were fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Such a wonderful stay.

The rooms were decent, but there wasn't enough toilet paper. Housekeeping should leave a full roll when the two in the bathroom are already more than halfway used. My main issue was the front desk service, which was a horrible experience. The woman checking us in wasn't friendly. We had booked two rooms, one king and one double, and she told us to pay for one first before she'd check us into the other. When we gave her our name again, she said only one room was booked. We showed her the confirmation number, which was the same for both rooms, but she still insisted only one was on it. We had received two separate reservation emails, one for each room, with that same number. Instead of apologizing or helping us get the second room, she ignored us and moved on to the next customer, then left to use the bathroom. We stood there expecting her to come back, but she disappeared. Her tone and attitude were unacceptable for someone working in hospitality. You get paid to be nice, so fake it.
