Cascade Village 2 Bedroom Condo, Mere Steps to Chair Lift With Pool and Hot Tubs

The condo was beautiful, and its location worked well for both the walking paths and our conference. I wish the kitchen had basic things like salt, pepper, or oil for cooking. The bedroom has no windows, though there's a sliding patio door. Since it faces the street, I didn't feel safe leaving it open in the evening. A lock on the screen door would have let us get some fresh air.

We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bath gold condo, and it worked well for our family of four, including our teenagers. The bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs, so keep that in mind if stairs are difficult. It was clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place had a full kitchen, coffee pot, washer and dryer, toiletries, and a hair dryer, which I hadn't seen listed online and wasn't sure to expect in a condo. The area is peaceful. It's a bit of a walk into Vail, but we had nice weather and the trail made for a pleasant walk. There's also a free shuttle.

The condo was clean and quite nice, but we went without AC for the entire stay. Fans in the closets helped for the first few nights. The last night was much hotter, and we couldn't reach anyone. We didn't want to stay up all night hoping someone would show up. I mentioned it at checkout, but they only said they'd tell management, and nobody followed up afterward. We weren't offered any compensation. That was disappointing, especially since we had hoped to use this place on future trips.

We checked into our platinum three-bedroom suite at 4 pm, the listed check-in time, and immediately found it hot. It was July, when temperatures can reach the 70s, and the AC wasn't working. The refrigerator's ice maker was broken too. The office had already closed at 4, so there was nobody to contact right when we arrived. Hotel staff seemed indifferent, saying vacation rentals weren't their responsibility, even though they're under Hyatt management. The kitchen was poorly equipped, and during our three-night stay nobody fixed either the AC or the ice maker. Booking this place was a mistake.
